Re: Favorite Dessert Recipe...
I don't cook. But my favorite dessert is tiramisu
Actually, my sister did share a recipe with me that is easy and SO good. It's for a white wine cake. It's so moist and delicious. Ugh, I'd kill for some of that right now. If I remember when I'm home, I'll try to post the recipe.

Re: Favorite Dessert Recipe...
Actually, I just made a new recipe which I know is already a family favorite - they've asked for it twice since I served it less than a week ago. (They haven't gotten it, but they've asked, lol!) Anyway, it's super easy, and tastes amazing. I added raspberries to the recipe below. It starts out as hard cookies, but after a night in the refrigerator (or a day, if you make it first thing in the morning) it turns into soft, delicate layers and looks really cool when sliced (like zebra stripes).
Icebox Cake
The Magnolia Bakery Cookbook
3 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 (9-ounce) packages chocolate wafer cookies
Unsweetened cocoa (or chocolate shavings)
In a large bowl, beat cream, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form.
On a flat serving plate, arrange 7 cookies side by side in a circle, keeping 1 cookie in the center.
Spread with 1/2 cup whipped cream, making a 7-inch circle. Repeat with remaining cookies and cream, making 11 layers of cookies and ending with a layer of cream (there will be a few cookies left over). Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
To serve, dust top lightly with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
